Oak Leaf Hydrangeas, in a makshift vase (a scrap from a column on the back porch)  I really like using found objects as vases.  but  Please Ignore that my silver needs to be polished!

Soooooooooo I had to borrow some.    I figured they were kind of poking into the street and needed a good trimming...  I was desperate, I had impromptu guests, and no time to go out  for flowers, no flowers on the table was NOT an option.  I know, I know what you are thinking....she STOLE flowers!!! Actually, it is my neighbor, and we are friendly, so no worries...I didn't ask at the time, but I knew they wouldn't mind....we are neighbors like that!

Once I get my garden going again (I mean we just moved in, first things, first)! ANYONE is welcome to come "borrow" my flowers too.  Aren't these oak leaf hydrangeas pretty, AND they last a long time, AND dry nicely...my neighbors are safe, for now!

Has anyone else ever had to borrow flowers or greenery, from the side of the road or from a neighbors garden????

Also, I am linking up to the Fabulous Blog Pure Style Home of Interior Designer Lauren Liess for her "from the yard (or borrowed) flower project.
