Jennifer Egglestone House Tour

Simple lines and beautiful pine floors.

"I gave the house an urban country look," says Jennifer, "because I like to mix industrial textures such as metal with soft, upholstered country pieces."

The seemingly random arrangement of black-and-white-framed nature photographs and prints that surrounds a vintage train-station sign took Jennifer a long time to get just right.

Jennifer paired metal reproduction French bistro chairs with a black oak pedestal table topped with a vintage iron candelabra. To soften the hard surfaces she added a 1920s needlepoint rug.

Texas long-leaf pine floors and wood moldings create a stunning canvas.

"People frequently think that I'm nuts to have so much white," she explains. "But it's so much easier than color and pattern. We just toss everything into the wash when we need to."
