Matt and I share an office and because we both do much of our work from home we need two desks. We took two mushroom-colored lacquered Parsons desks and pushed them together into a make-shift partner's desk. Anyway, my side proved to be a lot more "colorful" than his and the asymmetry really started to bother me—I mean I'm the one who has to look at it, right? I couldn't stare at a drab sea of white papers and binders punctuated only by Goldman Sachs plaques any longer. So that's where the man flowers come in. Monochromatic flowers in a manly mason jar adds a wonderful pop of Spring color to his side and enhances my view (see above photo) without him feeling too girlie about it.
