Growing up in Africa, it wasn't uncommon to see large sets of antlers of various African antelope adorning the walls (the ones in Jenna Lyon's dressing room (below) are kudu). I grew accustomed to seeing them and often when I spot them now, I feel a slight nostalgic twinge. Antlers have a very rustic, old world feel to them. They are all at once triumphant and audacious, yet organic and giving a small tribute to nature. They blend perfectly with the fall aesthetic - a roaring fire, some plaid blankets and a stag trophy above the mantle. While they've been used in decor for hundreds of years, they still require more of a brave heart - how about you? Would you dare to bear antlers?
