Color Stalking
Does anyone else color stalk? I mean, when you find a room that you love and HAVE to know the color, and then find the color, and then feel the need to find ALL of the rooms that have the same color, so that you might be able to see a room that looks similar to yours, and then see what YOUR room might look like with THAT color? I must confess, I am a color stalker. The color of the moment, Benjamin Moore Cedar Green.
This is all I could find from good ol' google.

Benjamin Moore Cedar Green...a winner in 2010. (I am always late to a party!)
I couldn't agree more.
All I could find....I am really liking this striped wall with the Navy blue and pops of orange.
Even though it was an it color in 2010, I think it might be a keeper. Going to the paint store NOW! Happy Color Stalking ya'll.

"Green is symbolic of growth. It also embodies another word that's going to be extremely important in the next decade, and that's 'flexibility.' Green goes with anything — just look outside. It can work with what you already own, as well as anything you'd like to add. It can feel classic or contemporary. And it's restful. It makes me feel balanced." —SONU MATHEWBenjamin Moore Cedar Green...a winner in 2010. (I am always late to a party!)

Afternoon Showers
Another recent impending storm in the car photo.
I did endure a battle wound to take these shots....My feet are hating me, b.c I stepped on a blackberry vine that pulled under my toes in my sandels... I spent 30 minutes picking briars out of my feet. (my daughter said, "Wow mommy, that must hurt, b.c I really cried really hard when I had 1 splinter!", at least she understood my pain:)
Here are a few rooms that may have been inspired by a storm.

I LOVE the color GREEN.
I LOVE THE COLOR GREEN. It has been my favorite color since childhood. I think it is such a calming and happy color. If I could do my WHOLE house in green I would! I am definitely working the color green into my living room/dining room design, which is in the works:) But what COLOR of green is the problem???, choices, choices...
Do I go with,

So simple yet so AMAZING!
Oh, and I am thinking I will surely get some delicious APPLE GREEN velvet chairs.
The thing about green is that it is the perfect foil to so many other colors. It is the most vibrant neutral... Think about these color combinations and how well they go together.

They ALL go together.
The ONLY combination I would stay away from is Green and Red. I grew up in a family room with a Red checked couch and Kelly green carpet....Christmas all year round!
But even IT can be pulled off!
Notice that there are other colors that help to offset the green and red. This is a HAPPY room!
That is all of the "greenspiration" I can come up with this evening, hope you aren't sick of it yet, I surely am not!
In the morning,
G
Happy St. Patrick's Day.!

Green House in Spain
Greens in many shades and a variety of textures and fabrics for this warm and busy house in
Segovia. Even though I'm not a fan of wallpaper as I feel it's a bit overpowering (and hard to remove!), these rooms have a strong character and are full of interesting pieces.
Take the tour with me and let me know what you think!
