Curtain Fabric Source

I've gotten several emails about the fabric I used for my curtains.

The fabric is called Kalah Blue.  You can find the fabric still at Calico Corners here.

I don't believe you can find it at Fabrics.com anymore but keep checking back because they might get it again! I also didn't use a liner for these and I did just hang them with clips.

Client Pillows

Yesterday I got these amazing pillows for a client from Plum Cushion. The print is called California. I put them on my sofa to see how they looked and now I'm not sure if I can take them off! I love them!

A Few Things

Here are a few things I'm excited about right now.

First of all...

Did you know T.J. Maxx is starting to carry Jonathan Adler products? I am SO happy! I picked up some great stationary items as well as some napkins.

Schumacher has come out with a new fabric line by Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

Here are a few samples I got from The Showroom last week.

I am obsessed with this one and I think I'm going to need to find a place for it somewhere in Jett's room.

and lastly...

I bought this book this week and it's been pretty good so far. Lots of good blogging tips. Anyone else read it?

The $13 Pillow That Will Change Your Life

Meet the Carmello pillow from Pottery Barn.

I'm not sure if you guys have seen this pillow but I'm obsessed with it and right now it's only $12.99!

The bad news about this pillow is that it has a poly fill insert and no zipper so I'm not sure if that can be fixed but the good news is that it's outdoor! Perfect for kids. And there are SO SO SO many fabrics and color combos that could go with this pillow.

My friend Kristen just bought two of these for her living room and we are basing her color scheme off of it.

Here are some of my favorite fabrics you could pull from this pillow.

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6

I can't wait to show you what we do with my friend's living room!

The Beauty of Outdoor Fabric

I've been working with the greatest client who decided to spruce up her living room and eating area. She had some cream colored cushions on her dinging room chairs that had definitely seen better days. They were covered in stains. I knew that if we were going to recover them we had to do it in outdoor fabric. So I had my seamstress Erin sew up these amazing cushion covers in Calico Corners outdoor Soho Fabric

Anything that you spill on outdoor fabric will literally bead up and fall off. Nothing is going to be soaking into these bad boys. I would totally recommend the use of outdoor fabric especially if you have young kids. It's a lifesaver.

Shop Local-Walls

A couple of weeks ago I drove out to Walls, an amazing wallpaper store. Built from on old garage the store is oozing with character.

Bright and vibrant prints greet you as soon as you walk in.

They also sell lots of  cool products.

My favorite thing was this basket of wallpaper samples. $1.00 each. I bought a bunch with all kinds of projects in mind.

If you are looking for wallpaper, fabric, home accessories or just some great inspiration head out to see this cute store. Plus check out their blog

Great Knock-off

I am seriously discovering so many great fabrics on Spoonflower lately. Like this La Fiorentina  knock-off. I might have to start dabbling in some fabric design. It looks like fun!

A Little Organization

As my fabric sample selection has grown I've been keeping everything in a big basket. However every time I have to find a sample I have to dump out the entire basket and sort through them. So last weekend one of my amazing interns ironed and hung them up for me.

This is such a better solution. I just have them hanging in my closet.

Eventually I'll get myself one of these to hang all my samples on. But until then I'm sure enjoying opening my closet door to see such wonderful and colorful fabrics!

Still For Sale...

Just a reminder there are still a few great items for sale. Check here for availability and email me if you are interested.

Grey and Orange Nursery

Jenna from Q.A. Designs recently had me help her with her son's big boy room. Here is the board I created for her.

I recently got this great picture of how it's all coming together. So far so good!
We had Erin make us that cute lumbar pillow.

I love those roman shades Melissa made.
We used this cute dot fabric by Dwell Studio.

We found it for a great deal here

Salt Lake City Parade of Homes

I only had a chance to see about 10 homes this year in the Salt Lake Parade of Homes but the few that I did see were pretty impressive.

I loved the stripe running through the window treatments and I thought the larger stripes on the stairway were a great way to break up a huge wall.

Ivory Homes knocked it out of the park in my opinion. Their homes were amazing!! Their design team is incredibly talented. I loved all of their  homes. The rest of the images were all done by them.

I've always been a fan of Shantung Silhouette and I especially love it as curtains.

Do you spy that nailhead on the table!

I love that Tina Turk fabric used as panels outside.

I am obsessed with the amazing wingback chairs upholstered in Schumachers' Clarendon

Check out the red piping on these chairs.

You gotta love Imperial Trellis

This cute bedroom was full of Serena and Lily products. I love their stuff.

Check out that Dwell Studio rug. So cool!

That roman shade is made from this fabric and I am in love!

This nursery had an entire Babar book framed. It's such a fun and cheap idea.

I love that Schumacher Ikat. It pulls in so many great colors.

Ta da! A duvet made out of Hot House. I've never seen such a thing.

I wish I could have seen more homes this year. With a family, work and a busy summer schedule it is just hard to squeeze it all in!

Please keep in mind that I did not design these rooms so I can not answer questions about sourcing or the origins of products.
