Small Three Level Apartment

This is a former artist's studio on three levels. Just like a tower, the bedroom is on the top level, underneath, on the ground floor, comes the kitchen and dining room and then the living room is in the basement.

The dining room on the ground floor appears bigger than it actually is, thanks to a large mirror that gives a feeling of openness by reflecting the outside.

The sunken living room is below the original workshop we see right at the top of the stairs. Above the sofa, you can see the kitchen behind the window.

The bedroom is quite small but very bright with light streaming in through the window on the roof.

Small Apartment in Madrid

Today we are going to visit a renovated 80 m2 apartment located in Pozuelo de Alarcón, a suburb near Madrid. To gain light and space, half of the kitchen wall was eliminated and the space where they used to have a laundry room is now a small dining room. A mixture of contemporary and vintage pieces keep it interesting and happy.

Tiny Apartment in France

This 18 square m. apartment in France was designed for a university student. It has many ideas to make the most of its small space. I think it has more storage room than I have in my whole house!

First let's have a look at the floor plan:

Le plan de l'appartement
Thanks to a skylight (2) there's plenty of natural light in the entryway. Separating the kitchen and dining area (5) from the shower and toilet area (3) there is the bed (4) right on top of a storage unit which opens to both sides and a small desk at the end.

Renovated Apartment in Madrid

Good morning to you, dear readers. For those of you who celebrated Mother's Day, hope you spent a lovely day with your family and loved ones.

This apartment in Madrid used to have very low ceilings, narrow doors, narrow corridors and dark bathrooms. The owner had some of the walls torn down, and the roof was raised 20 cm from the original height. Spanish interior designer Isabel Quesada was in charge of decorating the rooms.

Apartment in Guadalajara, Spain

A beautiful Monday morning here in Rio. Hope your morning is beautiful too. Had a nice weekend? Good. Now let's go to Guadalajara in Spain to have a look at this small apartment. Definitely eclectic. A combination of styles which look great together.

salon
Rustic walls, modern and antique furniture, bold striped red and white wallpaper.

It's a good idea to place a salamander stove on tiles, far from the wooden floors.

A table set just for the two of you.

Think I don't care much for this wallpaper but I guess it does combine with the colours in the bedroom.

I have linked this post at It's A Very Cherry World where Sue is hosting a MckLinky party. Thanks Sue!

Colourful Apartment in Spain

Enjoying your Saturday? Great!
This apartment in Spain seems to be huge but it has only two rooms: a spacious sitting room with the kitchen to one side and an en suite bedroom. Airy, bright, youthful and fun. Let's bounce around and have a look.
