Early Spring @ Brabourne Farm
Spring is slowly starting here at Brabourne Farm - the days are getting longer, the pear trees and crabapples are flowering, the air smells sweet and the sound of birdsong is everywhere. This truly is the most wonderful time of year!
Garden @ Brabourne Farm
When we bought Brabourne Farm nearly 10 years ago there was no house and not one tree on the entire 100 acres - the land had been cleared for farming many years ago and was covered in rocks and long grass. Thousands of trees and plants later and after countless hours of gardening and sheer hard labour, our dream of what the garden would be like is starting to come true. It's been a long journey which I admit sometimes nearly got the better of me but it has been worth every second. To see more garden photos click here, here and here.

Pretty Things @ Brabourne Farm
A gorgeous new painting in a corner of the living room.
A pair of Chinese gentlemen and other bits + pieces on my desk.
The mirrors out of my wardrobe makeover looking lovely on the bedside tables - I decided they were too beautiful to throw out!
Pretty, pink things in the kitchen.

Bits + Pieces at Brabourne Farm
New bedside lamps in one of our guest bedrooms - they're red!!!!! And I love them - maybe this could be the start of a bit of colour at Brabourne Farm.
This old wardrobe in the other guestroom is finally finished (I forgot to take before photos). I had it painted white, removed the wooden panels from the door, replaced them with glass and then lined them with toille.
New limed-oak lamps - not as exciting as the red but they suit the room.
The black lampshades arrived this week for the entry hall - the next task is to find something for the wall. I don't quite know what I'm looking for .... a very large mirror, painting, a big clock face, a lovely old window .... hopefully the search will soon come to an end!
Enjoy your Saturday - I'm mowing and clearing out overgrown veggie patches!

Before
After
It's finished! After a long wait, the glasshouse has been built and the chandelier has been hung .... now to organise shelving and plants!
